Melanie and Ryan

 

          Once she was young:

Soon Melanie graduated from nursing school (December 2009) with a specialty in maternity care.

Then on August 18, 2010, a few days before her birthday Ryan invited her out to celebrate the day on their own. He picked her up in a older Triumph on which his father, Fraser, had recently completed a full restoration:

Then off to an even more special surprise:

After some sightseeing they set down on river gravel-bar:

During a walk along the river, Ryan asked her a question - made a proposal actually:

Later in the week Carol and I were able to celebrate their engagement with Ryan's parents, Fraser and Lyn:

Melanie and Ryan are planning a spring wedding and we're excited! Ryan has enjoyed commercial fishing, worked with a reforestation company and more recently completed his first semester in an RN program at the top of his class.
